• About Us

  • The Orillia & District Chamber of Commerce is an organization representing Orillia businesses and businesses in the surrounding area. Our members include Orillia and area accommodations, Orillia and area restaurants, and Orillia and area tourism operators, plus local manufacturers, retailers, and more.

We are  a non-profit association consisting of over 600 members.  From this membership a board of fourteen directors is elected. The City of Orillia, the Townships of Ramara, Severn, and Oro-Medonte and the Chippewas of Rama First Nation have the opportunity to be represented by appointees to the board.   To further strengthen communication links with other community groups there are also appointees on the board representing Georgian College, Lakehead University, Casino Rama, Physician Recruitment and Retention, Community Development Corporation, Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Manufacturers’ Association, Construction Association, Ontario’s Lake Country and the Downtown Orillia Management Board.  The mandate of the Chamber of Commerce is to provide both tangible and intangible benefits to our members in particular, and our community as a whole.

There are numerous standing committees working with and for our membership.  These committees, which include directors, members and the community at large are:  Advocacy, Business Achievement Awards, Business Recruitment, Golf, Membership, Perch Festival, Waterfront, and Yuletide. Other committees are struck as need arises.

A voice for an integrated and prosperous business community that fosters economic development and advocates on behalf of its members. We do this to promote sustainable growth in the Orillia district.

Fostering prosperity for your business – your community.

  • We run a number of community events throughout the year including the Perch Festival, Waterfront Festival and Spring Boat Show, as well as the Pirate Party, Yuletide and more. These events are made possible by our members and community sponsors. We are also thankful for grants and sponsorships provided by community groups that help us advertise and promote these events:
