Hike for Hospice

Description

The annual Hike for Hospice is a nation-wide event that helps raise awareness and much-needed funds for hospice palliative care throughout Canada! This year the funds raised will go to support both Mariposa House Hospice and Hospice Orillia; helping to ensure that more people in Orillia and our surrounding communities receive the care and support they wish for when experiencing illness, death and grief. 100% of the funds we raise will contribute directly to hospice palliative care services in our area. Participants are invited to join us for a hike along the Lightfoot trail beginning and ending at the Biindigen Pavilion at Couchiching Beach Park. While there is no registration fee, participants are asked to collect pledges in support of their hike. Prizes to be awarded following the hike based on pledges raised as well as age brackets!
