The Orillia District Chamber of Commerce
is a voluntary, non-profit association consisting of over 600 members. From this membership a board of fourteen directors is elected, who meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
The City of Orillia & Townships of Ramara, Severn, and Oro-Medonte have the opportunity to be represented by appointees to the Board. To further strengthen communication links with other community groups there are appointees on the Board representing Georgian College, Lakehead University, Casino Rama, Doctor Recruitment and Retention, Community Development Corporation, Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Manufacturers' Association, Construction Association and the Downtown Orillia Management Board.
The mandate of the Chamber of Commerce is to provide both tangible and intangible benefits to our members in particular, and our community as a whole.

Google Places May Be As Important As Your Facebook Posts!
kiosk at the Port of Orillia is now live and the kiosk destined for outside the
Orillia Opera House should be live by the end of July.
will be the same on both kiosks, and I would encourage you to check out both
the interface portion and the display advertising on the kiosk currently.
kiosk is programmed to pull and display, at no cost, information about business
within a 5 minute and 20 minute walking distance.
Ø In order for business names and details to be displayed from the kiosk
the business must be added to google places. Steps can be found by
searching “how to get on google places”
- If the business does not
show within google maps then it needs to be added to google places.

It is also
important for business to encourage Google Reviews as it engages the customer
base and increases your placement in searches. Google reviews are
becoming a very important analytic and your Google Business Account can allow
you to provide product information and is not subject to social media likes or
friends, but rather available to anyone doing a search.
