A musical comedy for folks who love their pets! Dogs celebrate in an off-leash park on the eve of the summer solstice, when the star Sirius, patron saint of dogs, shines most brightly. Camps have a long history in Ontario, especially on Lake Couchiching. Notably YMCA Geneva Park, Camp Couchiching and Camp Wahanowin have developed and shared with hundreds of children and families the benefits of sport and culture amongst nature and how all together they create a sense of community. - ORILLIA FISH AND GAME CONSERVATION CLUB KIDS'FISHING DAY
The Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club hosts this popular event. The day provides an opportunity for participants up to the age of fifteen to be introduced to the sport of fishing. OFGCC members assist the children in preparing their fishing lines, reeling in their catch and releasing the fish and for many children, this is their first exposure to fishing. - AUSTRALIA'S THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER
This sizzling male revue named "Best Male Strip Show" by the Las Vegas Review Journal for 3 consecutive years and "Best Adult Attraction"by AOL's City Guide. The internationally acclaimed show has appeared on teh famed Las Vegas Strip for the past 16 years, takes male revues to the new level of excitement and is "eye candy" for women of all ages who can transform fantasy into reality with the blink of an eye or unbuttoning of a shirt! An exhibition celebrating 150 years for Orillia & Canada! Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town illustrates that Mariposa can be any small town in Canada, universal yet incomparably local. As landscape, people & stories grow, identity & sense of place grow. Stephen Leacock, Gordon Lightfoot, Elizabeth Wyn Wood & Arthur Shilling told their stories through different mediums, making art for all time. With a lens to our community, The Spirit of Mariposa explores our past & illuminates the future to inspire others to compose stories of their own!
